Entertainment & Music

Thursday Night – Tom Zipp and the Bullpen

Memorial Park Bandshell – 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Well known for their hard driving country sound, Tom Zipp & The Bullpen will draw you in with a nice mix of the blues, rock-n-roll, and some old country standards too! Formed in Northern Michigan and dedicated to bring an action packed variety of music that will tickle the fancy of most every listener. This band knows how to entertain any type of event! Audience members have described TZ & The Bullpen as “excellent musicianship with outstanding vocals”, “great cover songs and very catchy originals”, “positive energy with a feel good vibe”.
Over the past few years the guys have performed at many venues including casinos, breweries, nightclubs, county fairs, private parties, and weddings. They also have played at more festivals than they can count, including the Venetian Festival, Freedom Fest, Big Ticket Festival, Microbrew Festival, and the Mushroom Fest. TZ & The Bullpen get invited back for performances after most every show they do. Crowds really enjoy the wide variety and versatility of the musicianship. One of Tom’s specialties is his Willie Nelson sound a like voice. Close your eyes and you will be convinced it’s Willie himself.

Friday Night – Full Circle

Main Street Stage – 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Full Circle started playing together in the mid-60’s. The original members were John Slough on guitar, Jim Slough on piano, Fred Murray on bass, and Nick Lilak on drums.
John and Nick reunited in 2008 and linked up with Roger Lilak on bass guitar and Bob Bryan on keys. These guys have played in many bands throughout the years and have musical background in nearly every musical genre including big band, dixieland, and jazz. Their hearts and passion remains with classic rock, pop, and country. They play the widest variety of music of any local cover band and do it with strong vocal harmonies and superb soloing on guitar and keyboard. Best of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s; we especially like to cover strong vocal bands such as the Doobie Brothers, the Eagles, and of course, the Beatles.
